Steel Rigid to Liquid Tight Couplings
Material : Steel
Surface Finish : Zinc plated
Type : Combination
ELECMAN® Steel Rigid to Liquid Tight Coupling
Rigid-to-liquid-tight couplings bridge the gap between durable rigid conduit systems and flexible, vibration-resistant liquid-tight conduit. They are essential for maintaining environmental protection and electrical safety in industrial, commercial, or outdoor settings where rigid conduit meets dynamic or corrosive conditions. Always verify sizing, material compatibility, and certifications (UL, NEMA) for your specific application.
MATERIAL: Steel
FINISH: Zinc plated
TYPE: Combination
CERTIFICATE:
UL Listed, File No.: E513113
APPLICATION:
Rigid to Liquid Tight Flexible Conduit Couplings are connectors designed to create a secure, sealed transition between rigid conduit (e.g., RMC, IMC, or PVC-coated rigid metal conduit) and liquid-tight flexible conduit. These couplings ensure environmental protection, mechanical durability, and electrical continuity in demanding applications.

FEATURES:
Connection Types:
Rigid Conduit Side: Typically uses a threaded connection (NPT threads) to attach to rigid conduit (e.g., RMC or IMC). Some couplings may also work with PVC rigid conduit via solvent welding or threaded adapters.
Liquid Tight Side: Uses a compression nut and sealing gasket to clamp onto the liquid-tight flexible conduit, maintaining a watertight seal.
Environmental Sealing:
Liquid Tight: Protects against moisture, dust, oils, and chemicals, making them ideal for wet or corrosive environments.
Strain Relief: Resists vibration, movement, or pulling forces on the flexible conduit.
Materials:
Metal Couplings: Made of galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum for corrosion resistance in harsh industrial settings.
Non-Metallic Couplings: Constructed from PVC or nylon for lightweight, chemical-resistant applications.
Electrical Continuity:
Maintains grounding between rigid and flexible conduit (critical for metal conduits).
